After speaking with Whitney, I have a better perspective and understanding of my inspiration and thought process. Since I want my publication to be a one-of-a-kind piece, I decided I want to use a found object to hold my booklets. I will be shopping around at thrift stores and antique shops to look for an old jewelry box or some neat wooden box. I also decided I want to do a DIY head piece for the bride to make to wear on her wedding day. The head piece will be made of fancy fabric and other beautiful materials.
Inspiration below
The publication I am designing will narrow down to the necessities of planning a wedding and serve as a “worry free” guide for brides. It will be designed to attract the attention of design saavy, stylish modern women, who live fast paced lives, who are also hard working women with a budget. They also would be women that desire uniqueness, appreciate well treated, handmade looking items, and are drawn to things that feel vintage. Check out my InProcess Poster to read more about the project!
About Me
- Brianna Antonaccio
- I am a fast-paced, small town girl from the “snack food capital of the world,” in York County, Pennsylvania. I am currently studying Graphic Design at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and will be graduating in May 2011. Becoming an artist has always been an aspiration for me, and I am consistently inspired by the love of my family and the hard work of those around me. My interest in graphic design was motivated by my father’s involvement, though now that interest has bloomed into a wonderful love. After graduation I hope to begin my career with a bridal magazine so that I can use my talents to express the beauty of fashion, ornament, and sentiment. Font choice?
Right now i'm trying to brainstorm which font I want to use for my publication. I would love to combine a script font with a san-serif font, but I also would be interested in using a font like PMN Caecilia. And of course I always love Bodoni or Didot..Any suggestions?
